Padma Lakshmi is also known for her groundbreaking work on the James Beard Award-winning Hulu series Taste the Nation and as a long-time host and executive producer of Bravo’s Top Chef. Named one of TIME’s most influential people in 2023, she is also a bestselling author of books like Love, Loss and What We Ate and Tomatoes for Neela. Beyond her culinary achievements, Padma is a passionate advocate for women’s and immigrants’ rights, serving as an ACLU Artist Ambassador and co-founding the Endometriosis Foundation of America. Her accolades include the UNCA Advocate of the Year Award and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and she currently holds a visiting scholar position at MIT.
