Shannon Carr, founder of Isaiah 55, Inc., embarked on a transformative journey 25 years ago, inspired by her grandmother’s award-winning gardens. Passionate about gardening and feeding people, Shannon creatively acquired land for gardens in Evanston, Avondale, Mt. Auburn, and East Price Hill. Through her unwavering faith, she overcame challenges and expanded her efforts into a mobile food pantry and the Garden of Eat’n restaurant. Shannon’s dedication to supporting families reflects in her commitment to food justice and community well-being. Through Isaiah 55, Inc., she continues to advocate for 5 healthy food access for all, reinforcing the belief that food justice is integral to community justice.
