Vice President of Policy & Engagement, Interact for Health

Ashlee Young, servant leader, health justice advocate, and Vice President of Policy & Engagement at Interact for Health.  She works to expand the impact of Interact for Health’s direct investments through intentional community engagement and policy efforts that improve health equity and outcomes in the region.   Ashlee earned a Master of Public Health from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Science from THE Ohio State University.  She has focused on improving health and social services in Greater Cincinnati for more than a decade.    Ashlee is committed to serving the community and lives by the words of Marian Wright Edelman: “Service is the rent we pay for living.  It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time.”   Her commitment to service and passion for people led her to serve on the board of Ensemble Theatre, Philanthropy Ohio, Delta Gateway Foundation, Hamilton County Mental Health and Services Board, and she currently serves as Board Chair for the Cincinnati Health Department. She has received many awards and recognitions, including the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Making Black History honoree, American Heart Association-Women of Impact nominee, and Cincinnati Business Courier Forty Under 40 award. She is a member of the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Ashlee is the proud mother of Nila, who attends Howard University and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
