Alpa V. Shah, MS, RDN, is a passionate advocate for leveraging the power of nutrition science to enhance health and wellbeing. As the Director of U.S. Wellness Medical & Scientific Affairs within R&D at Haleon, she oversees the advancement of science and research behind well-known nutritional and dietary supplement brands such as Centrum, Caltrate, and Emergen-C. 

Alpa has spent the last 25 years applying nutrition science in various settings, including clinical practice, community health programs, academia, and industry. She has gained extensive experience in areas such as diabetes management, perinatal nutrition, HIV nutrition, and human vitamin/mineral nutrition. She holds a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University and completed her Dietetic Internship Program and M.S. degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now part of Rutgers University. 

Alpa is dedicated to advancing the field of nutrition science and improving health outcomes, especially for underserved and vulnerable populations, through innovative research, communications, and practical applications. A lifelong learner, Alpa is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Integrative & Functional Nutrition with a focus on women’s health.
