
Laura Carroll
Laura Carroll is a Senior Advisor for Nutrition Outreach at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Human Food Program. With over a decade of experience in federal government, Laura has held positions at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), FDA, and the White House. Throughout her career, she’s spearheaded and played pivotal roles in the development and implementation of significant nutrition policies, including updated nutrition standards for USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program, FDA’s recently updated “healthy” claim, and she co-led the historic White House Conference and National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in 2022. Laura joined the federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2013. She received her B.A. in Sociology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and an MS-Nutrition/MPH from Tufts’ Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and Tufts’ School of Medicine.
